The city of Tucson is subdivided into a number of distinctive neighborhoods that, together, reflect the changing tides of culture and historical influence. Historical districts include neighborhoods like Armory Park and El Presidio, while some of the downtown district includes revitalized neighborhoods and retail centers.

People have called Tucson home for over 12,000 years. Native Americans originally called the area “Stook-zone,” or “water at the foot of black mountain.” Today, explorers can discover the lands outside of Tucson which are still pristine with the aid of their cherished horses.
